A Big Week for the Indians

Coming off last week's high scoring game against Lebanon Catholic, the Indians earned themselves a four game win streak (The longest such streak under Coach Butt).  After a slow start, the team sits in third place in Section 3; a half game behind Manheim Central.

The week kicks off tonight as the Indians host Lancaster Mennonite.  The Blazers enter the contest with a record of 5-10 (2-7 LL).  There is a great opportunity to keep the streak going, but the Indians will have to come ready to play as the Blazers feature three players averaging double figures in scoring.

The second game of the week will send the Indians to play the Section 4 leading, Lancaster Catholic Crusaders.  The Crusaders have captured headlines all season as their balanced scoring attack and stfling defense have paved the way to an undefeated record.  This game will be a benchmark game to see how Donegal fares against elite competition.

Friday, the Indians face Section 3 foe, Manheim Central.  The Barrons cancelled all athletic events last week following the tragic car accident that took the lives of 4 MC high school students.  Depending on how each team fares this week, the winner of this game should feel confident of their post-season chances.

Stay tuned.
